Retail marketing – Guitar store promotion

Retail promotion Pat McArdle's marketing blog

An effective piece of self-promotion by a guitar store in Southampton, England, proving that promotion need not be the most expensive element of your marketing plan.

This storefront image caught my eye and I thought I’d share it. It’s not the kind of thing I usually include on this blog which is normally about the more strategic elements of marketing but it tickled me a little today. Maybe it’s the failed guitarist in me (I’m the worst guitar player in the whole history of the world). It’s clever, it’s memorable and it will appeal to guitarists everywhere. It even goes to 11. This is the kind of thing that stands a very good chance of going viral. An effective and inexpensive piece of self-promotion. The guitar store is in Southampton, England.
